[24] Update display case!

Konichiwa mina-san!

Here is an update on my display case, since my collection grew pretty fast in a short amount of time. Compared to when my dad came over and assembled it, it's a lot less empty now. I even used the two spaces in the legs for two CDs. I tried to display at least one of each of the releases I have and I placed the other versions, together with releases I have twice, at the bottom row. I don't think it will take long for me to decide to add a row or two to the display case! I'm sure my father wouldn't mind doing that for me ^^

My next post will be my discography, finally!

[22] Wanted!

Hello everyone!

My discography will have to wait, again, since I received a package today, a week after I bought it, which was sooner than expected. In this package were two items I ordered, and a few free items added by the seller. One of the ordered items is something my girlfriend bought for me as a birthday present!

The present I got is a set of five autographed posters which initially was only sold at their 10th Anniversary Special Premium Live "Bon Voyage!" concert at Shibuya Koukaidou on April 12 2013. On these posters, they are wearing their outfits from the new Night-ship"D". They are 728mm long and 515mm wide in size, which is somewhat smaller in size than A1 paper size.

While typing this post, I found out that the signed posters are still in stock at Rosen-Kranz. They still have 35 sets left, if you are interested. They don't ship overseas so you need a proxy service to buy from there, or you need a friend in Japan ^^

Also, I got the D Tour 2008 Alice in Dark edge FINAL〜LIVE ALBUM + PHOTO BOOK. This version comes with a B5-sized photobook and a desk calendar starting at April 2009 and ends at March 2010. It did surprise me that the CD isn't in a hard case, but instead it's on the last page of the photobook.

The seller, which I regularly buy items from, gave me some free items once again. She gave me three copies of club Zy.MAG Vol.013. This was the March-April issue from 2013. The ironic part is, I already bought an auction over a month ago for the same magazine. And this auction was also for three copies. So in a while, I'll have six of them...

She also gave me a photo set with the outfits from the song Barairo no Hibi (薔薇色の日々) from the album Neo culture ~Beyond the world~. Lastly, I got two different trading cards from Asagi's solo single, Corvinus. I noticed I forgot to show the trading card from the single I already own, so I added it with this picture.

Next up, perhaps my discography?

[10] CURE Magazine Vol. 115

Konichiwa!

The latest addition to my collection, which I received a week ago, on May 7, is volume 115 from CURE (キュア) Magazine. This was the April issue from 2013. This edition features photos from their 10th Anniversary, wearing the outfits for the new style of Night-ship "D". The photos in the magazine are of great quality and show a lot of details, which will come in handy for future cosplays.

The website I bought it from included a few bonus items. Although not from D, free items are always nice. I received three postcards from bands soon to perform in Germany, which is where the shop is located. The bands being Satsukithe GazettE and DEATHGAZE. Furthermore, I received a 2013 calendar and a card, both with an anime style mascot from the website. The mascot was on the front of the package too.

That's my entire collection, for now. I'm expecting a huge package full with D merchandise, but it seems to be delayed. It's at customs for a week now already while it only took three days for the package to arrive from Japan in the Netherlands.

[9] D collection display case!

Konbanwa!

Recently, when my D collection started to grow, I wasn't sure where to put all the items without them getting in the way. I wanted a place to display them, as opposed to just storing them away.

I started looking for a display case. Most of them were too expensive or not useful for displaying CDs and DVDs. I asked my father if he could help me look for one. A few days later he said he could just make one for me instead.

By phone we discussed what the display case should look like. The bottom shelve is for storing the releases I don't display. At the moment my posters are there, waiting to be laminated before I will put them on the wall around the display case. My collection isn't that big yet, so I can display everything I have right now.
Above that is a shelve for displaying DVD-sized releases and the four shelves above that are for CD-sized releases. On top I can display the magazines I have. Below the top, he installed two light bulbs.

The display case was finished quickly and my father brought it on 3 May. He did an amazing job on it and I love it! The photos below contain all the items I've shown in all my previous posts.

Tomorrow I will show a magazine that I received a week ago.

[5] Japan goodies

Konichiwa!

Last year, from July to August 2012, a friend of mine went to Japan. I asked her if she could keep an eye out for Torikago goten 〜L'Oiseau bleu〜 (鳥籠御殿 〜L'Oiseau bleu〜). I missed the opportunity to get one myself. Luckily, she found the Limited Edition Type A and brought it back for me. It came with a card with the entire band on it.

She also went to a Danzai no gunner (断罪の銃士) concert on the 28th of July 2012 in Nagoya. There she got me a photo book and a flyer.

More in my next post!

[3] The return of D

Hello everyone!

After receiving the package with the albums, I didn't buy anything related to D, until I read the announcement that D would return for their second European tour. We bought tickets not long after that, to ensure we could go to the concert.

This time, however, instead of going in my everyday clothes, I wore something completely different. The Elf Fantasy Fair was coming up, so I had to come up with an outfit to wear. If you have never heard of the Elf Fantasy Fair, here is the slightly edited Wikipedia description:

The Elf Fantasy Fair is an outdoor fantasy event in the Netherlands which is traditionally held in April since 2001 in Haarzuilens at Castle de Haar. Since 2009, a second event is being held in September, in Arcen at Castle Arcen. The Haarzuilens fair is the largest fantasy event in Europe and attracts about 22,500 visitors every year.

I couldn't come up with an outfit, until my girlfriend came up with the idea to cosplay Asagi. The outfit I chose was the one from Der König der Dunkelheit. It took my girlfriend a few months (and frustration) to make the outfit, but it was done in time for the Elf Fantasy Fair on the 21st of April 2012. It turned out to be an amazing cosplay and I wanted to wear it at the concert too!

Here is the cosplay:

Less than two weeks later, on the 2nd of May 2012, again in concert hall the Melkweg in Amsterdam, we went to D's second concert. While waiting outside, I received a lot of nice comments about the cosplay and even a few photo's were taken. There were even a few fans who came all the way from Japan to follow D on their European tour, going to most of the concerts. Once inside the building, we bought the D flags, since we knew they would play Night-ship "D". This song has dance moves which require the flags. When we entered the concert hall, there were two other cosplayers, who were from Japan. They were cosplaying Tsunehito and Hide-Zou. Their outfits were from Dying message.

There are a few more cosplay pictures on my DeviantArt page, including pictures with the Japanese cosplayers.

The concert was amazing, and they even played one of my favorite songs, Sleeper! We didn't stand as close to the stage as during the first concert, but still within hand grasping distance :) It was awesome to see their reactions to my cosplay while they were performing.

After the concert, I bought a lot of merchandise:
A poster, shirt, bag and USB stick from Dying message. I also bought the Memorial Book and DVD from their previous VAMPIRE SAGA tour and the international edition from Huang di ~Yami ni umareta mukui~ (皇帝~闇に生まれた報い~).

Because one concert wasn't enough, me and a friend decided to go to another one from the same tour. More about that in the next post!
