Hello everyone!
On June 7, I received a package which I ordered a while ago. It took longer than usual to arrive compared with other packages from the same web shop. When I finally got it, I was charged an extra €20,35, which made it clear that the package was delayed because of customs, while it shouldn't even have been to customs at all. The total price of this package was €35, without shipping costs. The package was marked as a gift, which is free of tax up to €45. If the package wasn't marked as gift, the extra costs I had to pay would have been correct. Even then, €20,35 extra costs for a package which is worth €35 is an increase of about 58%, which is ridiculous. I still need to send an objection letter about this, to try to get my money back.
Even though I had to pay extra, I'm still very happy that the package arrived safely. Since it took longer I was afraid it wouldn't arrive anymore at all. As for the contents, I received two CDs and an unrelated magazine. I got the Limited Edition of Schwarzschild and the Limited Edition Type A of Day by Day, with a trading card of all members. With these, I got all editions of both these CDs.
For now, this is my entire collection. I have more incoming, but in the meanwhile, I'm planning on showing my cosplay in more detail, as well as updated photos from my display case.
Nice gets once again! :) Your collection is growing in such a fast pace that soon you have no more cds to buy (except the upcoming ones of course!)! ^-^

Thank you! Haha ya, I thought about that too! The only things I wouldn't be able to get, at least not very soon, are the super rare CDs like Alice. I never even seen any for auction. I never heard the song before too. When I looked for it, I got "Yami no Kuni no Alice" instead :P
DeleteYa, I hope so too. If my package was more than €45, even if marked as gift, I would have been charged. But it was below that, so they just 'forgot' the checkmark in front of 'gift'. I can understand an error in calculating the extra costs, even though most likely computers do that. But overlooking a 'gift' checkmark, the most essential part of calculating the tax, is unforgivable, no excuse.
Alice is really difficult to find and sold at very high price. :/ I have come across it only once or twice during these years but never could afford to buy it sadly. :(

DeleteHaha alright ^^ I like to only have the songs on my phone which I actually own, since I rip the CDs/DVDs I have. For Alice, I can make an exception though, it being so rare :P

Nowadays it's very easy to buy the cds or find information about the band. It wasn't like that when I first got into D (e.g. I don't think Youtube even existed back then. Or if it did, no one used it). :P

Ya I know, it's very easy! I'm not sure when you got into D, but Youtube got created in February 14, 2005 :P But ya, it wasn't as big as it is now, of course.
DeleteYa if I'm sure I can find it! I only searched for it one time before. And if I paid attention, I could have noticed it was on the Alice in Dark Edge DVD because I have a list with all items I have, and which I don't have yet, and it even has all track lists. Didn't see it.. lol

ReplyDeleteYour collection is really growing fast :D I would also love to own Alice cd but it's so damn hard to find and if you can find it it will cost very much. I have seen it one place but both versions of Alice cost like 37,000 yen or 58,000 yen :D
Thank you! Ya.. customs sucks in general, but when I'm not supposed to pay, it sucks even more. Normally, when I legally have to pay, I expect it before I receive the package. Now I totally didn't expect it.
